Kottayam, 14th November 2024 – SH Medical Centre marked World Diabetes Day with a diabetic walk from Gandhi Square to the hospital, flagged off by Sri Vinod Pillai, Addl. Superintendent of Police. The event featured participation from Lions Club 318 B, SHMC staff, and students from local nursing and pharmacy colleges.

Highlights included a flash mob and awareness skit by students, a cake mixing ceremony, and a formal program inaugurated by MP Adv. K. Francis George. Key messages on diabetes awareness and prevention were shared by medical experts and Lions Club leaders.

A free medical camp held alongside benefitted 80 people with health screenings and diabetic care services.
