
SH Medical Centre Celebrates SH Day with Grandeur and Fellowship

Kottayam, 10 June 2026: SH Medical Centre celebrated SH Day 2026 with great enthusiasm, gratitude, and a spirit of togetherness, bringing together management, staff members, distinguished guests, and well-wishers for a memorable occasion.
The celebration commenced with a prayer service, invoking God’s blessings upon the gathering and setting a solemn yet joyful tone for the day. This was followed by the formal inauguration of the programme and a warm welcome address by Sr. Joice Maria SH, Head of the Human Resource Department, who extended her greetings to the dignitaries and participants.
Delivering the Keynote Address, Dr. Kurian Xavier MD, Medical Superintendent, reflected on the mission and values of SH Medical Centre and commended the unwavering dedication and compassionate service of the staff. In her Presidential Address, Sr. Jeena Rose SH, Director of SH Medical Centre, highlighted the significance of SH Day as an opportunity to renew the institution’s commitment to service, unity, and excellence inspired by the charism of the Congregation.
The celebrations were formally inaugurated with the ceremonial cake cutting in the presence of the distinguished guests. Smt. Sminu Sijo, Cine Actress, attended as the Chief Guest, while Shri Francis George, Hon’ble Member of Parliament, graced the occasion and shared words of encouragement and appreciation.
A special recognition ceremony was also held to honour staff members who had demonstrated meritorious achievements and excellence in their respective fields. Certificates and mementoes were presented in appreciation of their outstanding contributions and dedicated service.
The formal programme concluded with the Vote of Thanks proposed by Mr. Thomas TC, Purchase Executive, expressing gratitude to the chief guests, management, organising committee, and all those who contributed to the success of the celebration.

Kottayam, 11 June 2026: SH Medical Centre celebrated Benefactors’ Day 2026 with profound gratitude and joyous fellowship, honouring the invaluable support and contributions of its benefactors, well-wishers, and stakeholders.
The celebrations commenced in a deeply spiritual atmosphere with the celebration of the Holy Mass (Suriani) at 5.00 PM, led by Rev. Fr. Sarish. The solemn Eucharistic celebration united the gathering in prayer, thanksgiving, and reflection, setting a meaningful tone for the evening.
The formal programme began at 6.00 PM with a graceful prayer dance invoking God’s blessings upon the institution and all those associated with its mission. Sr. Jeena Rose SH, Director of SH Medical Centre, extended a warm welcome to the distinguished guests, benefactors, staff members, and participants. In her introductory address, she reflected on the significance of the occasion and the institution’s continuing journey of compassionate healthcare service.
Delivering the SH Day Message, Rev. Fr. Jacob Vattakkatt, Vicar of Lourdes Forane Church, Kottayam, spoke on the values of service, dedication, and the healing mission of healthcare, inspiring all present to continue striving for excellence and humanitarian service.
A special “Year in Review” presentation highlighted the major milestones, achievements, and initiatives undertaken by SH Medical Centre during the past year. The occasion gained further significance with the inauguration and inaugural address by Adv. Mons Joseph, Hon’ble Minister for Water Resources.
Marking important milestones in the institution’s growth, the event also witnessed the launch of the SH College of Allied Health and Sciences, the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), and the St. Elizabeth Annex, which houses the Department of Nursing Administration and Quality.
The celebrations were enriched by felicitations from several eminent dignitaries and public representatives, including Shri Thiruvanchoor Radhakrishnan, Hon’ble Speaker of the Kerala Legislative Assembly; Shri Francis George, Member of Parliament; Shri Chandy Oommen, MLA; Shri V.
