A one-day workshop titled “Pathway to Patient Safety: AMS, ICRA & Modern IPC Excellence”
was successfully organized by the Nursing Department of SHMC on 20th April 2026. The event
was held in collaboration with the Medical Surgical Department, IQAC Cell, and Thiruhruday
College of Nursing.
The workshop took place from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM at the Seminar Hall of SH Medical Centre
Hospital, bringing together healthcare professionals and nursing students for an intensive
learning experience.
The program focused on strengthening knowledge and practical approaches in key areas such as
Antimicrobial Stewardship (AMS), Infection Control Risk Assessment (ICRA), and modern
Infection Prevention and Control (IPC) practices. Through expert sessions and discussions,
participants gained valuable insights into enhancing patient safety and ensuring high standards of
quality healthcare delivery.
The initiative reflects the institution’s continued commitment to promoting clinical excellence
and fostering a culture of safety in healthcare settings.
