The Nurses Week celebrations at SH Medical Centre (SHMC)
began with a grand inauguration at the Main Block front area on May 6th. The program
commenced at 8:00 AM with a prayer song by the hospital choir, creating a solemn and
uplifting atmosphere for the event.
The celebration continued with a welcome address by Sr. Jaisy Liz SH, Nursing
Superintendent of SHMC. The official inauguration was conducted by Director Rev. Sr. Jeena
Rose SH, who delivered the inaugural address, emphasizing the dedication, hard work, and
invaluable contributions of nurses in healthcare delivery.
Adding energy and excitement to the morning, a vibrant flash mob performed at 9:00 AM,
engaging both participants and onlookers. The inaugural session concluded with a vote of
thanks by Sr. Annie Tom SH, Manager Supportive Services & CCU, Oncology In-charge at
SHMC.
With this event, SHMC officially commenced its Nurses Week celebrations, which will
continue with a series of activities dedicated to honoring and appreciating the nursing
community for their tireless service and commitment.
