14th June 2025, SH Medical Centre, Kottayam
In observance of World Blood Donor Day 2025, SH Medical Centre organized a vibrant and impactful series of events under the global theme “Donate Blood, Share Life.” The celebrations began at 8:00 AM with a flag-off ceremony for the awareness rally, led by Rev. Sr. Jeena Rose (SH), Director, at the hospital frontage.
The programme was conducted in collaboration with Lions District 318 B and Thiruhrudaya College of Nursing, whose members also participated in the rally and celebrations. A large number of staff and students from SH Medical Centre and Thiruhrudaya College of Nursing took part in the rally, which aimed to raise public awareness about the importance of voluntary blood donation. The rally commenced from SH Medical Centre, proceeded through Nagampadam Bus Stand to Logos Junction, and concluded back at the hospital by 9:00 AM.
Adding a creative and engaging element to the event, a flash mob was performed at Nagampadam Bus Stand and in front of the hospital by the students of Thiruhrudaya College of Nursing. The lively and well-coordinated performance successfully captured public attention and powerfully conveyed the life-saving impact of blood donation.
