As part of World Heart Day 2026, SH Medical Centre, Kottayam, organized a Heart Awareness Rally, Walkathon and Flash Mob on 29th September 2026 to promote awareness about heart diseases, prevention, and the importance of a healthy lifestyle.

The programme began at 8:00 AM from SH Medical Centre, Nagampadam. The rally was flagged off by Mr. Rajendran Nair, Circle Inspector of Police, Kottayam, and proceeded through Nagampadam Bus Stand, Shastri Road, Gandhi Square and Baker Junction, before returning to Nagampadam Bus Stand.

A flash mob was conducted at Nagampadam Bus Stand to spread the message of heart health among the public. The programme witnessed the active participation of the SH Medical Centre team and students of Thiruhrudaya College of Nursing.

The participants highlighted the importance of healthy lifestyle practices, regular health check-ups and preventive measures in maintaining good heart health.
