
SH Medical Centre Observes World Blood Donor Day with Awareness and Gratitude
Kottayam, 13 June 2026: SH Medical Centre, in collaboration with TCN, commemorated World Blood Donor Day with a meaningful programme held at the hospital auditorium, aimed at promoting awareness about the importance of voluntary blood donation and honouring the selfless individuals who donate blood to save lives.
The event witnessed an encouraging response, with a large number of donors coming forward to donate blood, demonstrating their generosity and commitment to supporting patients in need of lifesaving transfusions. The programme highlighted the vital role played by voluntary blood donors in ensuring the availability of a safe and adequate blood supply for healthcare services.
The celebration was graced by the presence and active participation of Sr. Alice NC SH, Principal of TCN; Sr. Jeena Rose SH, Director of SH Medical Centre; Dr. Jisha Tu, Chief Operating Officer; Sr. Anilitta SH, Blood Bank In-charge; and SI representatives, whose support and encouragement contributed significantly to the success of the initiative.
