After Nurses’ Week celebrations, SH Medical Centre marked Nurses’ Day with a vibrant and
memorable event. The day began with a morning rally, showcasing the energy and spirit of our
nursing staff, followed by a formal ceremony held from 2:30 PM to 4:30 PM in the Hospital
Auditorium.
The program featured a prayer song by the SH Choir Team, a welcome address by Rev. Sr.
Jeena Rose SH (Director, SHMC), and a presidential address by Rev. Sr. Usha Maria SH
(Mother General, SH Congregation). The event was inaugurated by Mrs. Anu Janardhanan
(Chief Guest, KGNA Secretary) and included a day message by Prof. Sr. Alice Manianghatt
SH (Associate Director, Nursing & TCN Principal).
Highlights of the celebration included awards and prize distribution, a retirement program,
and a farewell for Mrs. Jessamma Francis and Mrs. Vijayalakshmi G, with a speech by Mrs.
Elizabeth Sebastian (Nursing Supervisor). The program concluded with a vote of thanks by
Rev. Sr. Jaisy Liz SH (Nursing Superintendent), followed by a cultural program and the
singing of the SH Anthem, honoring the dedication and contributions of our nursing staff.
