On 25 February 2026 at 10:30 AM, a Cannula Audit Evaluation Meeting was conducted in
the IT Room at SH Medical Centre, facilitated by BD. The meeting aimed to review the
findings of the recently conducted cannula audit and evaluate compliance with established
clinical standards.
During the session, participants assessed documentation practices, infection prevention
protocols, and overall adherence to proper cannulation procedures. Key observations from
the audit were discussed, highlighting areas where clinical practices were satisfactory as well as
certain gaps that required improvement.
The discussion also addressed issues such as incomplete documentation and the need for
stricter adherence to aseptic techniques to ensure better patient safety. Based on the findings,
several recommendations were put forward, including strengthening monitoring mechanisms,
reinforcing accurate documentation practices, and organizing refresher training sessions
for staff.
The meeting concluded with a collective commitment to further enhance patient safety, quality
of care, and compliance with clinical protocols at SH Medical Centre.
