An awareness class on Cervical Cancer and HPV Vaccination was successfully conducted on January 29, 2026, at the IMA Hall, Kottayam. The programme was jointly organized by IMA and WIMA Kottayam, in association with SH Medical Centre Hospital and Rotary Club Kottayam Central.

The session was led by Dr. Anu N. Joseph, Consultant Gynaec Oncologist, who delivered an informative and engaging talk on cervical cancer prevention. She highlighted the importance of early detection, regular screening, and preventive strategies, with special emphasis on the role of HPV vaccination in reducing the burden of cervical cancer.

The programme commenced at 6:00 PM and witnessed active participation from members and attendees. An interactive discussion followed the session, allowing participants to clarify their doubts and gain valuable insights into women’s health and cancer prevention. The event concluded successfully with positive feedback from the participants.
