SH Medical Centre, in collaboration with Tiruhurdaya College of Nursing, organized an impactful public event in celebration of World Heart Day, aimed at raising awareness about cardiovascular health and promoting heart-healthy lifestyles.

The event commenced with a flag-off ceremony by Sr. Frances SH, Joint Director of SH Medical Centre, officially launching an awareness rally. Led by enthusiastic nursing students and staff of SH Medical Centre, the rally proceeded from the hospital premises to the Nagampadam Private Bus Stand. Participants carried placards and chanted slogans advocating for preventive heart care and healthy living habits.

Upon reaching the bus stand, the nursing students captivated the public with a compelling street play, shedding light on the causes, prevention, and management of heart disease. The message- driven performance was followed by a high-energy flash mob, using music and dance to creatively communicate essential tips for maintaining a healthy heart.

The event drew considerable public attention, effectively conveying the importance of lifestyle changes in preventing heart disease. It served as a powerful reminder of the growing burden of cardiovascular illness and the need for early intervention and education.

This World Heart Day initiative highlighted the strong commitment of SH Medical Centre and Tiruhurdaya College of Nursing to fostering preventive healthcare and engaging the community in meaningful health promotion activities.
