On 7 March 2026, the SH Sakhi Screening Programme was successfully conducted at
Nedumkunnam in connection with International Women’s Day celebrations. The programme
was organized by JCI Karukachal in collaboration with SH Medical Centre, with the aim of
promoting awareness about women’s health and the importance of early detection of breast-
related diseases.

As part of the initiative, a breast screening camp was arranged for women in the community.
The programme witnessed enthusiastic participation, with nearly 85 women attending the
screening and awareness session and benefiting from the medical guidance provided.
The screening was conducted by Dr. Reji Paul from Snehita Foundation, Trivandrum, along
with Dr. Jisha T. U. and Sr. Jaisy SH, who also guided participants on breast health awareness
and the importance of timely medical consultation.
The dedicated efforts of the medical team, together with the support of JCI Karukachal, helped
make the programme meaningful and successful, reinforce the commitment to women’s health
awareness and preventive care within the community.
