Kumarakom/Pampady Velloor – A breast health screening session under the SH Sakhi initiative
was successfully conducted on 23rd January 2026 at SH Medical Centre facilities, aimed at
promoting awareness and early detection of breast-related health issues among women.
The program was organized in two sessions to accommodate maximum participation. The
morning session commenced at 9:30 AM at the SHMC Wellness Centre, Kumarakom, while
the afternoon session began at 3:00 PM at the SHMC Clinic, Pampady Velloor. A total of 78
women Sakhis actively took part in the screening.
The screenings were carried out by Dr. Reji Paul of the Snehita Foundation,
Thiruvananthapuram, who provided thorough examinations, medical guidance, and health
advice to all participants. The event was noted for its smooth coordination and efficient
execution, successfully promoting breast health awareness among women in the region.
The SH Sakhi initiative continues to empower women by encouraging preventive healthcare and
timely medical interventions, reinforcing the importance of regular health check-ups.
