In observance of World Stroke Day, the Sacred Heart Medical Centre (SHMC) organized an awareness programme at SNDP Hall, Thiruvathukal, Kottayam, aimed at educating the public on the prevention, recognition, and management of stroke.

The session was led by Dr. Sreejith V. Ravi, Consultant Neurologist, who delivered an insightful talk on the importance of early recognition of stroke symptoms and the critical need for prompt medical attention. Dr. Sreejith elaborated on the precautions to be taken during a stroke emergency, and highlighted modern treatment options and effective management strategies that can significantly improve recovery outcomes.

The event emphasized the importance of timely intervention, stroke prevention, and maintaining overall brain health through awareness and lifestyle modification.

The programme successfully reinforced the message of “Act Fast – Save Lives”, inspiring participants to become more vigilant about stroke symptoms and to promote health-conscious living within the community.
