
SH Medical Centre Celebrates Doctor’s Day 2025 with Gratitude and Honor

SH Medical Centre marked Doctor’s Day 2025 with heartfelt tributes and celebrations honoring its dedicated medical professionals.
The evening began with a prayer dance, followed by a documentary highlighting the hospital’s mission and journey.
Rev. Sr. Jeena Rose SH (Director) delivered the welcome address, and Rev. Sr. Catherine Nedumpuram SH (Provincial Superior) gave the presidential address, emphasizing compassion in healthcare.
Sr. Alice Manianghatt SH presented the Doctor’s Day message, praising doctors for their selfless service.
The event was formally inaugurated by His Grace Mar Thomas Tharayil, who blessed and commended the medical team.
Dr. Kurian Xavier, Medical Superintendent, delivered the keynote address, applauding the dedication of doctors and urging continued excellence.
An honouring ceremony followed, recognizing:
- Dr. Mathew Puthiyidam, Orthopaedic Surgeon, for achieving a world record for the longest pathographic memoir, co-authored with his patient, titled “Thank Dog.”
- Dr. Bibin P. Mathew, General Surgeon for receiving an Iron man award.
- Dr. Jisha T.U., Chief Operating Officer, for receiving the National Certification in Infection Prevention and Control.
Tokens of appreciation were awarded for their academic excellence:
Evin Philip Abraham, Seethal Santhosh, Shikha Santhosh, Riya Ann Cherian, and Ann Maria Paramundayil.
Dr. Abraham Tharakan proposed the vote of thanks.
The celebration concluded with cultural performances, the SHMC Anthem, and a special dinner honoring the hospital’s doctors.
