SH Medical Centre (SHMC) commemorated the 79th Independence Day with great patriotic spirit in a vibrant celebration held at the hospital’s frontage area, in collaboration with
Thiruhurdaya College of Nursing (TCN).

The national flag was hoisted by Dr. Appunni S, Consultant Physician at SHMC, who also delivered an inspiring address emphasizing the value of freedom, unity, and national pride. A
ceremonial parade by the hospital’s security guards in special uniform added a dignified touch to the event.

TCN nursing students and staff contributed meaningfully to the celebration through speeches that highlighted the significance of the Indian tricolour and the spirit of independence. The enthusiastic involvement of SHMC sisters, staff, and the TCN team made the event both memorable and impactful, reflecting a shared commitment to the nation’s ideals.
