
New SHMC Wellness Clinic Inaugurated at Kumarakom

The inauguration ceremony of the newly relocated SHMC Wellness Clinic, Kumarakom, was held with grace and dignity, marking a significant step forward in community healthcare services. The new clinic is strategically located near the Boat Jetty, opposite the BSNL Office in Kumarakom, enhancing accessibility for the local population.
The event commenced with a soulful prayer song, setting a serene and reflective tone for the proceedings. Rev. Sr. Jeena Rose S H, Director of SHMC, warmly welcomed all esteemed guests and attendees. The Presidential Address was delivered by Rev. Sr. Catherine Joseph S H, Provincial Superior of St. Mathew’s Province, who highlighted SHMC’s ongoing mission to deliver compassionate and quality healthcare.
A special benedictory message was shared by Fr. Cyriac Valliyaparambil MCBS, Vicar of Navanasrath Church, invoking blessings for the success and impact of the new facility. The official inauguration was performed by Sri. V. N. Vasavan, Hon’ble Minister for Ports, Cooperation, and Devaswoms.
The ceremony featured notable addresses by Sri. Thiruvanchoor Radhakrishnan MLA, Smt. Dhanya Sabu (Panchayat President, Kumarakom), and Ln. MJF Prince Scaria (PDG, Lions District 318 B), all of whom praised the clinic’s role in strengthening local healthcare infrastructure.
