On 22 February 2026, SH Medical Centre organized a Free Medical Camp at St. Thomas
Church, Vellappally, from 8:30 AM to 12:00 PM, with the aim of promoting preventive
healthcare and providing accessible medical services to the local community.
The camp offered medical consultations and services from the departments of General
Medicine, Gynecology, Pulmonology, and Orthopedics. The programme was led by Dr.
Gowrisankar (Orthopedics), Dr. Sindhu (Gynecology), Dr. Anjali (Pulmonology), and Dr.
Fenty (RMO), who provided expert medical advice and consultations to the attendees.
A range of health screening services were made available during the camp, including Blood
Sugar testing, BMI assessment, Cholesterol testing, HbA1c testing, Pulmonary Function
Test (PFT), Bone Density test, and Vision test.
The initiative received good participation from the community and was successfully conducted
with the support of the SH Medical Centre team, reinforcing the hospital’s commitment to
community health and preventive care.
