
Blessing Ceremony Marks Inauguration of New X-Ray Unit and Upgraded Surgical Facilities

A blessing ceremony was held on 8 December 2025 at 4:15 PM to inaugurate several significant additions and upgrades to the hospital’s medical facilities, marking an important step forward in enhancing patient care and diagnostic services.
The newly installed Digital X-ray Unit (Adonis 630 mA, 50 kW), now fully functional in the former Endoscopy Unit, was formally blessed and commissioned. This advanced imaging system represents a major upgrade in diagnostic capability, enabling more accurate and efficient patient evaluation.
The ceremony was conducted by Rev. Fr. Jacob Vattakattu, Priest of Lourdes Forane Church, whose blessings marked the formal inauguration of the new and upgraded facilities.
In addition, the event included the blessing of the renovated Laminar Operation Theatre, now equipped with enhanced sterility standards and advanced airflow systems to ensure a safer surgical environment. The Cavitron Ultrasonic Surgical Aspirator (CUSA – Sonoca 300, Söring GmbH) was also blessed, adding a highly specialized tool that will improve precision in complex surgical procedures.
