History Of SH Medical Centre

SH Medical Centre began in 1968 in a small rented house in Kottayam, started by the SH Congregation as a Cancer and Maternity Centre with just ten beds. Inaugurated by Blessed Rev. Mathew Kavukattu, the then Archbishop of Changanacherry, the hospital was later registered as a charitable institution. Today, it is owned and run by the St. Mathew’s Province of the SH Congregation.

Over the years, SH Medical Centre has grown into one of Kerala’s trusted multi-specialty hospitals. Known for compassionate, affordable, and quality care, the hospital combines modern treatments with a strong patient-first approach, continuing its mission to serve the people of Kerala with dedication.
