It has always been a major concern that people who are living in the rural areas of Kottayam do not get advanced health care services. The rural population, due to COVID-19 and various other problems, is struggling very hard to make both ends meet. Expensive treatments are not always affordable to them. Wellness centers are the dream project of S H Medical Centre to provide preventive, curative, rehabilitative services to the rural community, which includes rural clinics, laboratories, and home-based palliative care in the cardinal directions of S. H. Medical Centre. Through this venture, we intend to avail all the Hi-tech treatment modalities and facilities to all, irrespective of caste, creed or religion.
By implementing this project, we can extend our caring hands to help these groups by providing primary healthcare, conducting health-oriented and outreach programs thereby easing the burdens of their lives. By setting up these centres we strongly believe that SHMC like a lighted lamp on he mountain can provide a beacon of hope and a safety net to the most vulnerable citizens in the rural areas of Kottayam.
Health being a state of complete physical, mental and social wellbeing, it is the right of every citizens to acquire it. SHMC choose to offer its compassionate and quality care wholeheartedly to the people of Kanjirathummodu through SHMC Welness Clinic. Here we focus more on the preventive aspect of health.

S.H Medical Centre started a well ness centre at Kumarakom on 11th February 2021. It was found that the presence of S H Wellness Clinic at Pallichira,Kumarakom would fill in the dearth of health facilities there. This initiative is the actualisation of our dream of starting SHMC wellness centres in all the cardinal directions of S H Medical Centre hospital, Kottayam.
